Shiori stumbles out of the back entrance of the library, next to the loading dock. She almost falls down the steps, but manages to keep her balance by wheeling her arms around her. The glove flies off her right hand, but she doesn't notice

Nate was not letting go of his gun, although he was hesitant to actually shoot the things and was keeping it inside his jacket as they weaved through the crowd. Who knew what was really going on? There were too many people at risk to fire now. Besides, they could all be suffering some delusion.

Don't be so foolish. The absolute disgust in the thought startled him. It just didn't seem to be his at all.

He reluctantly put the gun into it's holder, and let go. "This is crazy, it doesn't make any sense..."

Greg follows behind them, but without the benefit of having HIS hand grabbed (aw poor baby), it's a little difficult to keep up with them. "Ahahahaha... but it's a shared crazy, it's not just MY crazy, so I can live with it!" He doesn't actually sound HAPPY about it, more hysterical. But the more the merrier, even in insanity.

He looks around. "Hey, a fun house! Fun houses have halls of mirrors, right? Might be easier to lose them in something like that," he suggests.

Shiori doesn't look too thrilled at the idea, but nods anyway. "They probably wouldn't look there." Actually, she just wants walls around her. Even with all these people, she feels so exposed. "Nate? What do you think?"

Fools deserve what they get. Nate shook his head angrily. He wanted that voice to shut up.

"I think we should find a police officer instead," he muttered, glancing at the hand that tightly gripped Shiori's. "The more we - "

And then the knife-like pain stabbed in his side again, and twisted. Nate doubled over, gasping.

" - Nrgh!"

"Not real?" Despite their situation, Shiori has to agree.

The farther they get from the nurses, the better Shiori feels. She can't shake the feeling that they're being watched, though.

"Nate, real or not, we're lost. Maybe we should ask for directions."

Amber is wandering around the hospital with a dazed look on her face. She'd slept through the second Tuning, but she was very, very clear that she was not supposed to be here. This was a hospital.

"Excuse me!" She calls, frowning. "Is anyone around?"

"We can't stop," Nate argued. "And we have to find Greg. Do you really think, after all of that, the people here would tell us? For all we know, they're not - "

Huh. Now that was a person who seemed just out of place to be genuine. Nate slowed, watching the newcomer cautiously. "Are you lost?"

"Nate, this is a hospital. Whatever's going on, I'm sure the people who work here aren't--"

Shiori stops when she sees Amber, surprised. This place had seemed so empty just a moment before. "Hello. I'm Shiori and this is Nate. Are you alone?" She thinks, for a moment, that it's probably best not to bombard this girl with questions, but these are extenuating circumstances.
