Shiori isn't surprised when she and Nate wind up downtown after somehow getting to the end of the tunnel. The fresh air is a welcome change from the cool, sanitary emptiness of the hospital. She squeezes her husband's hand supportively, clearly worried ( Read more... )

"Home," Nate repeated. He had put the gun away, at Naoto's prompting rather than Shiori's, but the blood was still streaked across his suit jacket and drying on his hands. He closed his eyes briefly, feeling a flicker of something before it was gone.

It's pretty much strictly chance that Greg and Amber run into Nate and Shiori when they do. Greg feels relieved; they'd been separated at the hospital, and it's good to see the pair of them alive (ESPECIALLY Shiori). He waves to the pair of them and approaches --

And freezes.

Oh hell, the hallucinations are starting again...

He fumbles for his pills a bit, before realizing that he'd left them in the library along with everything else. He grits his teeth; he's already gotten this far establishing he's not insane, and he really doesn't need the proof once again that he IS.

"H...hi, Nate, Shiori," he stammers, adamantly trying to ignore the "spirit." It's not really there, after all.

"You know each other?" She asks, a little surprised. She was quite convinced that this man had COME from that insane, wretched place. She already looks a little happier as she looks over her companions, though. Anywhere but there was fine with her.

"Amber, Greg!" Shiori, tired as she is, laughs in relief. "I'm so glad!" She smiles easily, suddenly feeling very light.

"What happened? Are you alright? I'm so sorry we couldn't find you. There was..." She trails off, feeling that piece of paper in her pocket. "I'm so sorry."
