Landslide, or Mudslide? (22 review)

K, I haven't written a reaction post since One Giant Leap, but yeah, this one (and generally the whole show since the return from hiatus) needs a review not full of *flail*, soo...

Yeah, this is not flail-y, in fact it is a little rant-y, so, fair warning. I was disappointed.

Ep 22: Landslide. )

So far, it actually seems like Hiro's timetravelling abilities provide less accurate predictions than Isaac's paintings, yes. Which is weird.

But Sylar's painting (of Ted) doesn't seem to have come true, which is interesting again.

Overall, I agree on the rantworthiness of this episode.

I disliked the huuuuuuge fakeout on Peter's blowing up. That could have been handled so much better; there were enough people standing around to take positive action there, it felt wrong that it was *all* Peter just controlling himself.

Almost all of Hiro's dialogue in this ep was corny as all hell, culminating in that entire discussion with his father. And nobody learns swordfighting *that* fast, either. Hiro doesn't need to be that good if he can use his abilities. Why weren't we just shown him getting the basics down?

Oh yes, I wanted to touch on that painting, too, cause I was thinking about it. Either Sylar's paintings are less accurate than Isaac (He always seems to expand on the powers he steals, so its possible he sees more alternate timelines), or that's Peter, not Ted he's facing off against.

Yeah, I didn't like how no one did anything but stare while Peter was fighting for control. Bennet disappointed me just then.

Seriously, the speed the episodes have been going at, the season feels like it needs 25-28 episodes instead, and they're just rushing to make it fit 23 instead. I mean, 4 people offed in one hour? Bit overboard, don'tcha think?
