AND SO it came to pass in the ninth month of the seventh year of the twenty-first century that a certain amusement park didst open its annual Halloween event.  And the people rejoiced, and it was good.

But in short time, the Lord looked down upon His creation, and He did say, “Oh, for the love of Me, what are you fuckheads doing?”  For the ( Read more... )

Which park do you work at?

I recently went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. I was most unimpressed and not frightened. I honestly felt the most frightening thing was the cost of parking! Pete says it's because I've felt true fear (getting lost and stuck near the summit of Pikes Peak in a sudden blizzard) that fake fear, like from movies and stuff, won't affect me like the average normal. Since he's gotten back from Iraq, he's felt that way about a lot of things.

I did take lots of pix tho since the makeup was very, very, very well done!

I really need to update this for my current employment -- when I originally wrote this, I worked for Busch Gardens Williamsburg. At the moment, I work for Fright Planet, a haunted house in Sacramento, CA.

I don't mind that people don't get scared. What bothers me is when people come through acting like fucking morons - throwing popcorn, groping/hitting employees, screaming at us, stuff like that.

Do they sell booze there? If so, I bet it's intolerable.

They're owned by Anh-- they used to be owned by Anheuser-Busch. Of course they sold beer. And yeah, the drunks were intolerable. Of course, so were the minors. *has not-so-fond memories of the 13-15 crowd* Savage little snots.

This place so far is much much better... but it's also slow right now. I fully inspect insanity to start in two weeks.

Come on Puck, everyone knows dealing-with-public workers aren't real people. God, next you'll be telling us we shouldn't give waitresses shit for not being inhumanly fast and then where'd we be?
