Lana looked over at him, rather embarrassed, and shook her head. "I can do it."

She turned the key in the lock and pushed the door open. For a moment all she could think was, It smells like Jim, and she couldn't quite make herself go in.

Dean stayed where he was against the wall, where she could feel him there without feeling like he was looming.

He couldn't know quite how she felt, but he'd seen this reaction before at least, and knew that he couldn't push her.

Lana swallowed hard and put her head down, trying to pull herself together. Finally she picked up the box of garbage bags and a box or two and walked through the door.

It smelled like him, felt like him, and the memories... She could see him on the couch, sound asleep or laughing at something and - she made a very soft sound of distress and barely kept herself from fleeing right back out the door.
