She certainly is, I'm very lucky. And of course, I wouldn't expect you to buy me anything - I feel slightly awkward that I didn't buy gifts this year, but likewise I feel as though I am relearning my friendships and haven't a clue what to get for people yet.

That was nice of you to involve June in your Christmas plans. I feel bad for not having invited her to ours for Christmas, but Victor is still being a bit...difficult about things and the last thing I wanted were arguments on Christmas Day.

Well, it felt rather like we were both a little marooned this year - me after my accident and her due to her family being so far away, so it just felt like the right thing.
Of course - better for everyone to avoid arguments. You've been so good to her, I hope that Victor comes around soon.

I'm sorry you're still feeling the affects from your accident. I have to admit that you and I were barely acquaintances before, but I'm sure it must have been very hard to cope with the loss of your memories.

I think Victor will just need some time. Though he won't admit it, it quite hurt his feelings when June left our flat instead of confiding in him. I know he can come across as very harsh, but he's much more sensitive than he lets on.

I did! I had a very good Christmas. It's the first year Victor and I have just stayed home and enjoyed each other's company rather than going to visit family. It was a nice respite after how busy we've been in the last few months.

Well, no matter - we're friends now and for that I'm very grateful.

I hope that Victor will come around to June again in time. I know that she misses him.

I can imagine that one on one time must be very precious when you're so busy - it looks like you're making a good success of the gallery though.

It was lovely to spend Christmas with you - really, you were doing me a favour; I was rather nervous at getting to know my family again myself.
We should arrange a lunch with Chelsea at some point, she spoke very highly of you also.

isn't that so strange, having to get to know your family again? i think with the way things went it shows that you still felt comfortable with them and they still know you, even now.

It was rather strange, but they have assured me that now it feels like they know the real me again after a long period of having lost me. I'm sure I wasn't away for that long in the hospital, but it's a nice sentiment.

Would you be free for lunch at some point next week? Chelsea and I can both arrange for a long working lunch in the city if you can spare a couple of hours, say Wednesday?
