Well of course it was all you. I think I would have noticed had you chosen to use aids. Which you certainly did not need.

I think now would be a good time to cut off my hands and practicing regenerating as Alucard suggested yesterday.

Which time? If you're both on your sides in the spooned position, the lid can be closed without difficulty.
