In between writing and cooking dinner, I am peeking in to leave a note. How have you been, lj-land? Carlyn, I'm sorry I keep missing you at chorale practice. Abby, it was really nice to see you last week. Gail, I promise I will see you again (fed!). Rocky and Sanch, I miss you all over again. Ly, I refuse to make bread in my rice cooker when ( Read more... )

18k for the Foundation Course, almost double that for the Advanced course. Count on doing the whole thing, including the practicum, for about a month after the initial classes. :) You should give it a go, it's fun.

Mug in a microwave cake sounds fun! I think there's something wrong with my rice cooker. Either that or I'm not watering the rice enough - it always ends up burnt.

Things will look up. The benefit of having lived through enough to become old, I guess, is knowing that things will always balance out. I'm expecting a happy anytime soon. :)

Yup, mas marunong akong magsaing sa caldero (incidentally, I never knew this was how you spelled that). Must be a throwback from the days when I was growing up and cooked rice in a clay pot over a wood-fed stove. Rice tastes so much better that way.... pero bakit pag lugaw, okay na ang aluminum pot?

My mom likes her rice like you do. the sister likes it with less water, tipo bang parang patuka sa manok. Bim and I like it soft and fluffy. Aba't dapat e mag-manufacture ng isang cooker na may maraming different sections for cooking rice several ways, panalo!

"terminal joy"... I like that. hehehe.

They have Saturday classes, and weekday classes. You can choose from either five Saturdays or a whole week of weekdays. I recommend the week, cheaper and more intensive.
