I've been thinking. Is it just me, or does Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" sound a whole lot like it could be a Mountain Goats song? Except, you know, written and sung by Lou Reed?

So I really love XM Radio. For instance, this morning, in my car, the Television song "Marquee Moon" was played. Holy cow, I haven't heard a song this good in ages. It sounds light years ahead of most music from 1977.

I also think I would kill to hear Dismemberment Plan cover this song. Too bad that will never happen.

I did a remix of the Pharcyde's "Passin' Me By," a west coast party classic from the early '90s and one of my favorite tracks of all time. It's also really a pretty sad song, even though it's a party song. This is a draft, a skeleton of a remix, that I think emphasizes the sadness more than the original song did.
