You can keep an eye on what your politicians are up to. The Washington Post has a congressional votes database, which is kinda cool, but the best part is that you can subscribe to the RSS feed of an individual congressperson's votes. So I'm now subscribed to

You may have seen me shilling for him before, but I have to say I really like Congressman Capuano's updates. He goes over his activities, does vote tallies, and discusses his rationale. Now if only he used RSS...

There are several email-to-rss services out there where you can have any mailing list turned into an RSS feed.

The secret is that I don't keep on top of anything. I just think, "Gosh, that HAS to exist," and then I ask Google :)
