I submitted an application for a promotion at work, but the position isn't something I had previously imagined myself doing. My SR TL encouraged me to submit it and the position would be guaranteed 40 hours and a two dollar raise, which would help Dave & I out (he has been getting 10 hours a week which is really hurting us).
