I love all the tiny signs Peter picks up on. I get the feeling that if I- or anyone else- were watching Neal, they wouldn’t see them. But I like how your Peter is so certain. Very in character and very real. And, of course, that Neal is scared- and acting almost normal- is beautiful and you’ve done it particularly well.

I don’t know anyone else who could write Neal’s need to be different, original, and- essentially- a perpetrator of more or less victimless crimes, so well. You say it in so few words and never spell it out explicitly, but it’s so much more powerful for it.

I could say the same, too, of how you write Neal’s pride.

And you have Peter’s character absolutely nailed. I thought he was going to walk up to Neal on the docks, but then when it came up later- Neal brought it up- that felt right instead. Love it.

And Moz was so unexpected, but I love how flawlessly you fit that one too.
