I was disappointed with The Village too. Its a good plot but badly written.

Actually I think it's the opposite. The plot was totally shitty (why I didn't like it). The concept was cool, but the whole plot TWIST was what ruined it. I think it was made extremely well; M. Night Shyamalan is an amazing producer/writer/director.
