At this, I laugh.

This, my dear, was exceptional. You have a mastery on lyrical prose, which is quite uncommon to see in this day and age. Especially on the interwebz. I kept double taking all the exuberant verbs, and then quickly triple taking, because they were that well interspersed through out the paragraphs.

And I'm not talking about the dirty verbs, either. I am referring to all of the verbs utilized within the story. Bravo.

Oh, and words can not explain my joyous anticipation that this is not merely a one shot, but rather a four shot with three more vignettes looming on the distant horizon.

Also: the title was magnificent. Poor Nate. Poor, poor Nate. I want to feed him cookies. Multiple cookies. Enough to put a bakery to shame. XD
