I'm ashamed to admit, I do not like lechon at all. I never used to eat it. I actually used to find it so offensive, seeing a dead animal -with head and all- spread in all its glory in the middle of the table. Hello, Ma'am!

Don't miss CNT lechon from Cebu, it's the absolute best. We order one straight from Cebu whenever there's a party at home, and everyone just loves it.

Cebu lechon is very flavorful, there's no need for sarsa or Mang Tomas (just vinegar and crushed garlic is good).

The herbs put inside the lechon is the secret. Even lechon manok in Cebu and Bohol tastes so good.

Did anyone see No Reservations in the Travel Channel last night? kelleegi February 17 2009, 20:31:13 UTC
I did and I think it was a very good episode. The people who took him around were very knowledgeable about the food and history of the Philippines. Claude Tayag brilliantly answered the question of why Filipino food is not as famous as other Asian cuisines in other countries. He said it was because Filipinos easily adapted to other cultures.

That episode showcased Filipno food in the best possible way- influenced by other cuisines like Chinese, Spanish & Malay but ultimately our own.
