i command you to write a top ten list at least once a month. i always love your suggestions. and i love (and will try to heed) this suggestion the most, "we should all be a little more awesome to restore the balance of awesome-ness to the cosmos" i admit that i'm a hippie at heart. peace and love, peace and love...
and, i used to make cotton candy at kennywood. it's very easy actually.
you command me, eh?danschankFebruary 12 2006, 18:14:18 UTC
well thanks. the good thing about these lists is that it gives me reason to stay on alert. especially with things that don't fall into my usual patterns of art/film/music/books. makes me pay attention.
I envy you for being able to read in the bath. it is a fantasy of mine to one day be able to find a way to do that, but every time i try i end up worrying so much that i'll get water on my book that i end up being so incredibly uncomfortable that i never last for more than 5 minutes before i put the book down...but then I'm quite adamant about the condition of my books...i'm the type that only opens the book 90 degrees.
concerning cooking shows, you might want to check out "everyday italian" hosted by Giada de Laurentiis. I find both men (myself) and women (my girlfriend) tend to like it quite a bit (albeit for different reasons! haha.)
i haven't. but that's exactly the sort of thing i ought to be doing right now.
i haven't seen the fricke either. totally dumb. i even lived up there for a year and i never got around to it. the good thing is that (because i work for the phila museum of art) i get into such things for free now, usually.
you know, the above image might actually have been from the cloisters, since i don't explicitly remember seeing it. i just sorta surfed around the MET's website to find stuff similar to what i saw a few weeks back. all the more reason to go there...
