Pics: Highlights of the Audobon Zoo

Jan 25, 2009 22:48

Normally, I would post something like this on my pic journal, but since that's members only and nobody seems to want to join and I kept mentioning I'd post these here, I'm doing it here for all to see...

These are just gonna be my favorite of the bunch...

Oh wow, these pics are amazing!! Otters completely rock and are one of the best animals to watch eat something! Flamingos are pretty cool too and symbols of their coolness should be put in all front yards.

Damn you! Now I really want to go to the zoo and I can't cause it's literally freezing out.

*WHITE TIGER LOVE*

Petting a tiger is the most amazing thing! Beautiful pics. I haven't been to a zoo since I was a kid.

Madre has loved Tigers since as long as I can remember, and she passed the love onto me. White tigers, and big cats in general, are such outstanding creatures to behold...

And yes! They used to have an exhibit at the Broward County Fair where you could feed, hold, and get a picture with the baby tigers. So Madre and I have both held/fed white and orange tigers... we've also had our picture take with a Florida Panther - who gave my hand a little love nip.

Thank you - it had been a while since I'd been anywhere like this. Quite the experience!

Yes, our county fair back in FL used to have an exhibit where you could feed, hold, and get pictures with tiger cubs, both orange and white. We would do it every year we went, and proceeds went to helping those in the wild.

It was an amazing thing to do.

Love them! It only took you how long?! Which really... is actually pretty good for you!!

I love that you got a multitude of animals asses and peeing and pooing. Very nice! LoL.

The White Bengal Tigers are BEAUTIFUL! It is sad! I watch some of the shows on National Geo. or Discovery and it just makes me cry. It's so sad!

Hey, this is a pretty good timescale for me!

Oh of course I did - I just have that kind of timing. I mean for the anteater, we literally watched him run over to the corner and start peeing... Trey and I found it amusing!

I know - their struggles in the wild are so sad! Madre LOVES Tigers to no end, which she passed on to me... *sigh* If only i could have one myself!
