'well, there's a nice roll of quarters on that damn board...' Same here with a roll of Sacagawea coins my grandma gave me. Collectables though, indeed.

Ever since we got the Euro in the EU, I've been collecting them. Just the €1 coin because it'd be a lifelong thing to collect every coin from every set. It's a bit like a collectable and tradable card games. Just when I've got the original 11, they add in Slovenia, which is pretty damn far from Ireland and I haven't even seen any! Of course Vatican ones were minted but are like gold dust. Their one euro coin retails for 1000 times its value.
