I don't even open most emails. I get ones daily from "Blizzard" about my "suspended World of Warcraft" account.

Clicking on links is fine, so long as you can be certain what they are. ... which can be achieved simply by always reading email in plain text mode.

(A lot of spammers put "please enable images" or some similar request in the plain text section of their emails. Yeah, as if....)
