Banner Change!

After, uh, a decade and a half? I finally changed this community's banner, in no small part due to the 2017 Photobucket implosion (How Photobucket Broke the Internet and Why You Should Care). The original owner of this community naturally wouldn't pay Photobucket's $400 ransom to continue hosting fandom pix which previously had been of no charge.

I was worried that LJ had deleted/purged this community & was relieved that it showed up in the search results when I googled a specific fic!

After I uploaded the banner, I realized that most of the screencaps I used show Daniel WITHOUT glasses. I didn't do that consciously! I guess the Daniel/Vala moments that stand out in my memory are when Daniel has to take off his visual aids to see Vala clearly 😮

The official one should have text such as "Daniel/Vala LJ Community" on it with "Stargate" mentioned somewhere. And maybe a Gate! With the colors of the collage harmonizing better instead of looking so... patchy. As well as being 900x300px.

But this one's definitely an improvement over the Photobucket placeholder mess.

I could've gone all artsy-fartsy & done it in a duotone palette with a brush pattern effect... but I'll leave that up to the graphic artists in this community.
