Jotei: Matsuda Shota as a hottie gangster: how could you go wrong?

I have added another drama to my already overflowing roster: jdrama Jotei, currently airing, about a formerly innocent school girl who decides to achieve revenge through becoming top hostess (read 'whore') and who meets a hot (obviously) gangster played by Matsuda Shota who decides to help her and who falls for her

I love walking into my local conbini and getting a glimpse of that same hotness gracing the cover of magazines, along with Horikita Maki and Sakurai Sho and Ninomiya Kazunari and God bless it, Kimura Takuya is everywhere.

Though I must say...you do make it sound quite tempting...

Oh, watched the first 2 eps of Sword Stained With Royal Blood earlier...quite good despite some slightly copy editting, no real fantasy stuff (so far it's more of the Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon style, which I prefer) and his "Property of Qing Qing"(OTP) tattoo is already starting to appear...even though he thinks she's a boy(for some reason, wuxia heroes are amazingly easy to convince their future OTPs are boys...)

Yes, they are. Part of why I'm enjoying it, plot and characterwise, more than I have a lot of others. I'm up to ep 8 now...I ADORE the way Chengzhi(he knows Qing Qing is a girl now) doesn't care that she likes to dress as a boy...he just introduces her as whatever she's dressed like that day. They're very much "friends becoming more than friends" *though she was visibly smitten from the start.)

Also, Qing Qing's parents? Best wuxia backstory ever! Seriously.

Completely OT, but if you remember my raving about the Takizawa Enbujo stageshow, lookie here... (And if you don't, it's FANTASTIC! Worth every penny I paid for the DVD!)

I think one of my favorite parts was from episode 1 when they were on the beach and she told him her story. And then the cheesiest line i ever heard in any drama "I won't make love with your body but your heart." I was won over :P
