Hihi, I couldn't help but notice how the big screen at Shibuya station advertises Kanjani8's newest single. XD And on the picture above which you said "spot the young man in armour", I couldn't help but notice the man leaning against the lamp post - he looks almost like Kurosagi!YamaPi. :)
I'm feeling so nostalgic watching those photos. They're really nice!
I love your photos! I'm surprised you didn't see Gwen Stefani lurking in Harajuku, I ked, I ked!
Also, since you are my resident go to for EVERY fandom girl. (Seriously you are like knowledged in every and any fandom) what dramas (even if they are current --- I'd really like complete hardsubbed series, but no worries) do you recommend? I LOVE JDramas. But I'm not into the whole 'Our love is strong and holy and we love, love, love' because that gets old. They can be old too, I just have to do the digging ;)
Have you seen Gokusen? It's funny and doesn't have much (if any) romance. It's about a mob heir who actually becomes a teacher to a bunch of delinquents.
Nobuta Wo Produce is a good one about friendship. Which ones have you seen, so I won't rec twice.
I hated Gokusen. :/ I gave it about two episodes and the premise is something I've always hated since day one. So THAT is out of the question. *grateful nonetheless*
I am getting recced NwP left and right. I really will look into that!
I just finished my rewatch of kdrama Full House and jdrama Hana Yori Dango. I'm now starting Hana Yori Dango 2 (I have up to episode 4 downloaded) and Nodame is what I've always needed to finish. Since the next season will pick up in Paris.
I just really I don't know. I was IN love with Liar Game and I just never really found a drama that hooked me so quickly. I just I know I'll love anything, I am easily entertained.
TWDrama/Cdrama is some of my grey areas. I haven't ventured too far into them and calixa told me Ariel Lin is the one actress to really like. I just don't LOVE period dramas too much...so.....
oh, hachiko and kimura takuya's weird ass gatsby adscalledinvainAugust 9 2007, 23:00:45 UTC
if you have not seen the cm of the Gatsby ads, Kimura channels Slash (from Guns & Roses) and the whole thing is a grand exercise in camp and WTFery?
And in Scotland, there's a statue of a dog called Greyfriars Bobby that's the equivalent of Hachiko - both were faithful to their owners even after said owners died.

I am so going to look for those cms. The whole time in Japan I kept wondering what those weird ads were for until I went to a pharmacy and figured they were for hair gel. They looked like something else :)
