The Outsiders episode 6 is killing me. In a good way. How come this drama just gets better and better? There is hurt/comfort and amazing OTP stuff and imaginary pianos, and hints of future damnation for the best of motives and oh MY.

I think TO has a really harsh message, in a way, doesn't it? Being young, and idealistic, and in love is not enough. Not in a world full of people out to get you or indifferent to you.
It's just...I keep rooting for the ship like mad and wishing they had never met. It's the collision course, isn't it?
ARGH.
I am too invested in these characters. A lot of twdramas are gloriously crack, but this is just rarely, seriously good.

I don't know if it would work, actually. Admittedly, I am biased, because jdramas rarely get me as emotionally involved as k or tw dramas. I think TO has a lightness of touch I don't see in a lot of other dramas. Hmmm.
The odd thing is, the fact that Taiwanese dramas are often more low budget than their Korean and Japanese counterparts, really works for this (like it did for Mars). It gives this story, set in the poor area, a certain grittiness.

And yeah, it has quiet girl and loud, violent boy, but YY is sheltered, unlike QL. Of course, also TO is sad and not hopeful, too :(
