The Outsiders continues to be the best. Ep 6 ramblings

Ohhhhh.

OHHHHHHHHH.

The Outsiders episode 6 is killing me. In a good way. How come this drama just gets better and better? There is hurt/comfort and amazing OTP stuff and imaginary pianos, and hints of future damnation for the best of motives and oh MY.

Oh, Ah Hao. I don't blame him for attacking the guy who almost killed him but that is his problem, isn't it? He has a strong sense of fairness but no sense of self-preservation. He has a temper and he just doesn't think sometimes. He is reckless and impulsive and he has a good heart, but all these qualities can get him into huge trouble. I mean, what can be more awesome than wanting to get the woman he loves a piano? And yet look at the spiraling that is going to happen (nothing good can come out of low level mob guy now gunning for him). He is...guuuuh. Amazing, and adorable, and frustrating, all at once.

Here is Ah Hao, being threatened with knives:

And I love how with her OTP sense, Yu Yen can tell something is wrong:

And of course, the guys realize they can't hide forever and the plan Ah Hao et al come up with is desperate and bold and crazy. Going to chief gangster, and...

In hiding:

And the guys get to the Chief Gangster (who is hot):

And OMG OMG OMG Ah Hao, you crazy darling! Chief tells him he must straighten it out with the gang guy and gives him a switchblade. So Ah Hao tells the Chief that since he made the other guy incapable of riding, he will make it fair and stabs himself in the leg. WTF. OMG. hardcore. I wonder what the chief expected him to do with the switchblade. Not that, I am sure. OMG. Ah Hao is fearless in some ways, isn't he? But I think if someone threatened Yu Yen, he'd go insane... (Also, OMG, did they put nice clothes to see the Chief or what? Interesting). And the Chief's attention is caught because he can appreciate guts, of course.

Man. *stabbity* Just watching it made me wince:

And I love that Yu Yen calls the cops when she finds out something is going on, even though it means her location will be given away, because she can't have Ah Hao hurt:

So Uncle Huai takes the three guys (I love how Danzi and Ah Qi have to support Ah Hao because he can't stand) away and Chief Mobster is fine with it, but I think flunkie who got hurt won't be. Argh:

And OMG OMG OMG we get hurt/comfort to die for, with Yu Yen running to his room, and seeing him lying all unconscious, and then they are home and she is taking care of him and it's incredible and she is so tender and he is so weak and eeeeeee! eeeeeeeee!

Running to the hospital and seeing him hurt:

Her tucking him in:

And fussing over him:

More awesome h/c pics:

OMG. *dies*

You know what kills me? The scene where Yu Yen's parents find her and tell her to come home and she says she won't and they threaten to charge him with kidnapping and she says she still won't and she begs them to forget they had a daughter and OMG. I don't blame her parents for the rage (Dad is enraged and Mom sorrowful) because TO is so awesome: it shows us that yes, you can see why they worry and freak, and it shows us Yu Yen's heartbreak, because she loves them. In forming a family for Ah Hao, she had to give up her own. The glossy shine of innocent happiness is flying away from her. She is growing up.

When she breaks down, afterwards, I got misty-eyed. And oh, Danzi. He clearly loves her, in his quiet, steady way, though he will never tell:

OMG OMG OMG. May I die of glee now? I love how she was worried about Ah Hao going racing because she thought that he got bored with mundane life and found out he just wanted to earn her a piano. I love it when she quietly but firmly makes it understood she needs him more and no more such foolishness. Gosh, they are so young and Gift of the Magi and he is so wistful about not getting her things, and seriously, she is his Madonna:

And they paint a piano on the walls and she imaginary plays it and....*dies* She has such a loving heart. Which is just what he needs, to be loved unconditionally, after his family all died or left, and thus he was abandoned (by his Dad through dying, by his Mom by ditching, by his Grandma forgetting who he is). He needs to be loved like this.

And oh No. He is going to sell his soul to protect hers, isn't he? He doesn't want to be a gangster but he is afraid she might be hurt and the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and oh boys. Oh boys. Don't do it.

Some random ep 6 shots:

Ah Hao looking hot:

The cuteness of future secondary OTP. Awwww:

I really like the other girl. She is awesome. I love how she incoherently tries to let Yu Yen know she'd never try to steal Ah Hao:
