Yea!! I only just finished the 3rd episode of Tokyo Juliet (totally saw the mom thing coming as soon as she said her mom had left home in the previous episode) & am already giddy with joy over the kissing. To be assured of plenty more makes me very happy.

And that MV really is a massive makeout! I was so-so on watching Mars as the manga was a little too angsty for me but I think I'll have to dl it anyway now. So your little temptation worked.

As for HanaKimi - I love it, too. (I'm naughtier than you, I think. I watch the raws every Sunday, then the subs every Monday by Lainemma on youtube. Then I download the subs as Sublimes finishes them. I just can't resist!) But I think your little mutant-quote is probably from Elizabeth Browning - not the Bible.

I didn't watch the Mars vid - I like to see kisses in dramas, movies, in their original context - but dude, after last night's convo, I totally want to see it. Fucked up people in romance = so my thing. Maybe after I finish My Name is Sam-soon, as I don't really have any dramas lined up after that, and Hana-Kimi isn't fully subbed yet AFAIK soo.. Plus I really need to know why folks are drooling over this Vic Zhou guy. I've seen some random pictures but the hotness didn't seem to translate

Well, I am definitely hot, but being Asian and male is something that I am afraid will forever elude me. But that fact makes Mr. Mousie happy so I guess it's OK.

But I suppose those sorts of rumors REALLY help these shows as the fans probably love to think of the actors as a RL couple as well

If the soompi forums are any indication, then definitely yes. I haven't seen this much hopeful rpfing anywhere else in my life. (Considering the fact that Vic Zhou and Barbie Hsu are a RL couple makes me giddy, for some weird reason, I'll cut them some slack :D)

Trust me, I'm totally trying to wrap my brain around why I can't see it, even in that otherwise visually pleasing photo. I see the handsomeness but not the hot. Does that make any sense? Anyway, it's why I feel I need to see him in some drama. It's like I looked at pictures of the Indian actor Vikram and thought, "Ew, moustached man!" but then saw him in a movie and LOVED him. It's all about the package

I don't really have this particular dichotomy as to me, handsome=hot, but whatever works :)

But I got used to it, since the actors are still pretty as hell and had pretty clothes and well, it did look good in the end.

The newer the twdrama, the glossier. Silence was quite quite glossy. Grrr, that drama frustrates me so. It would be a perfect drama to recommend: gorgeous people, good acting, neat production values, Victorian style love story. Scenes in the rain. Except for the fact that this is probably one of the most depressing things I've ever seen in my life so, no go.

ran into some post on d-addicts where some REALLY big Japan fangirl bashed ALL Korean dramas in a really snooty way (and praised jdramas in the same sentence)I think I may have run into the same post and it really annoyed me. Don't even get me started on the whole 'kdramas are drawn out and have cookie cutter stories and jdramas don't always have happy endings and are deeeeep.' Leaving aside

Hana Kimi seems great :). Mars is freakin me out actually. It seems wonderful and I already love the song title (what? ^^) but the angst bugs me :/. I'm not sure. Maybe later ^^.

I loved that part so much! Also, whenever Quan is cute and protective of Rui Xi, a little piece (ok. a large part) of my soul melts. Which happens a lot.

After every episode of Hana Kimi, I'm convinced more and more that I need to go find an all guys school and cross dress my way in. I mean it's a pretty fail-safe method, right?
