Computer Question and pimping some neglected doramas

First off a question to the lovely people of flist. I want to buy additional memory for my computer in order to keep dling all those lovely doramas. My laptop is PC, Inspiron 2650. How much memory should I get? What is a decent price? And what type of memory (I went to Amazon and got completely lost among memory types

This is one of the best sites to get memory from, they are the cheapest but apparently they have the best quality ram. They have a memory advisor tool to make sure you buy the correct ram. Do you know how much ram you have at the moment? Looking at it the Inspiron 2650 can take a maximum of 512mb

Also, where do they find all those pretty boys? The male leads are GORGEOUS. Is there a lab in Asia somewhere and can one raid it?
Heh. I said to my friend a couple of months ago that all male models were made in one factory in the world, the east asian actors must be in the lab next door. We just need to find the location...Taiwan looks as good a place as any...everything else is made in China :)

Heeeee. Full House is not as angst-ridden as either A Love to Kill or Love Contract promises to be (though it does have its angst and crying boys) but it's about the most adorable thing ever...

If you are looking for storage for your doramas, I don't suggest buying memory for your computer. Rather, buy external hardrive(s). These will plug into our machine (make sure that you get ones that have the right connections. For ex. If you computer has a Firewire/IEEE 1394 port, definitely buy an external with Firewire - it's faster than USB, but most computers have a USB port).

I own 2 Maxtor II external hard drives, one is 250 Gig and the other is 300 Gig, and they are dual interface so they have USB/Firewire. Sadly both of them are nearly full and the 300G is only 4 months old. O_O One more word of advice. Buy as many gigs as you can, or buy more than one, because I promise you, you will fill it, if you end up loving doramas as I do. You can do google searches to research how consumer sites rate these hard drives as well, because you want reliable.

I've just ordered Spring Waltz and Long Vacation (I know you didn't like it so much, but it sounds rather angstalicious). And I'm off to buy 'Devil beside You.' At least unlike my other long lasting obsession (Doctor Who) this stuff seems not to attract the wank. And the obsessive stalking of communities about characters by people who hate that character.

Well, I am bad for my own bank account so it's not too surprising :)

I actually ended up liking LV. First ep didn't work for me because I was in a very different frame of mind but I liked the second a lot etc. But then I got sidetracked with Mars rewatch (I think) and the other doramas that came in. But I really do want to finish it and it really is good.

People do that? Why? Yeah, I didn't find any wank either. Maybe it's all in Mandarin :)

Yes they do! It is entirely mad IMO, but I think they get fun out of it, because they spend lots of time there as far as I can see. I just ordered a bunch of stuff off ebay, but as I am off to see a Bollywood tomorrow and doubtless will end up buying stuff there (the cinema is near some DVD stores) I might need to back off for a bit... :)
