The Saiyuki section of ff.net makes me want to end the world to stop the pain.

You don't even need to know anything about the story to find these awful (really short summary: four guys fight demons).

There are some sections on ff.net I just won't go, most of them in the anime section. If you think this is bad, you should see the Inuyasha section...*shudder*

Sanzo suddenly drifts away

I actually snorted outloud at that one since I had a sudden image of Sanzo suddenly floating away from the group like a runaway balloon.

The fun thing is you know if the Mary Sues actually did enter the story, they'd be shot dead within two minutes.

The scary thing is, I wonder about the state of education when people are not only misspelling (which can just mean they are too lazy to correct mistypings), but not knowing how to use proper verb tenses.

There can be few things worse than having a total jones for fanfic from a much loved show...and then all you can find is... *flails* I'm glad the writers and their friends enjoy it, but I just... I remember this is why started writing the stuff, but I'd much rather someone else wrote and I could just sit back and enjoy. My imaginary fanfic stories that I write in my head while driving or walking the dog are sometimes just not enough *sighs*.

Yeah. And I really want to read some Saiyuki fic, but no idea where to find this. FF.net is just...not even for my newest obsession will I read that stuff.

Oh, I know. Yesterday I just really wanted to read something prony about one of my favorite characters. It didn't have to be *good* or have a *plot*, just be recognizably in character and involve sex, or implied sex, written by someone who had actually *had* sex and hence had some idea concerning the good parts...

These boutique fandoms are a bitch. *sighs*

I love this icon. I am all for Saiyuki fic (I was looking for some to read, after all). Just not the kind of fic the above summaries were for.

Saiyuki fan fic is really hard to find - if you're looking for quality, that is...otherwise you'll just find more of the same. It's all about OCs that are destined to change Sanzo's cold heart, tame Gojyo's filandering ways, or healing Hakkai's angst suffering. All of which will include the four guys being horribly out of character. T_T
If I ever get around to finishing mine, should I send it your way? You could be my beta. Though it will probably be awhile...free time to write is a luxury I can't usually afford. That and I have an HP fic that I've been ordered to finish or face the penalty of several jinxes and hexes.... ^_^;
