Cruel City - a masterpiece

I barely watched any kdramas this year - while I continue to love the emotion and the gorgeous visuals of kdramas, I found myself missing the pace and complex darkness of some of the best Western shows. Plus, let's face it, this year so far has been rather disappointing.

And then came Cruel City, a jTBC drama that was nowhere on my radar - police

I am obsessed to the point of giving updates to my coworkers, who have zero interest, about the weekly developments on this series. My current watches are all dark: hannibal, the fall, and cruel city, they're also all really good though.

Welcome to the club! I've been waiting for your take on this one. :) Isn't it just glorious!? It's SO good to finally have a kdrama to have real feelings for. Most everything has been so 'meh' for the longest of while. Nothing beats good 'noir'.

After 6 epis it's still wonderfully nuanced and thought provoking. It's an interesting story allright. But, as much as I love this production, I do have to admit it's not pitch perfect. There are a few things that may cause trouble later on. We'll see. Jung Kyung Ho keeps being utterly mesmerizing though. You really can't take your eyes off of him.
