I loved these eps too and it's always fun reading your comments afterwards - like getting to watch the show twice, haha.

Here's what I was thinking through these eps - why can't we just send someone to Japan to look for an antidote? I know everyone keeps saying there is no antidote but really, that's just the annoying bad guys saying that. Why are we just taking their word for it? Would there really be no one in Japan who's even tried?

The ending I'm after is EunSoo staying in Goryeo and the two of them living a long healthy life with minimal killing. And babies. Several babies. Is that too much to ask for? Please?

Thank you :)

I love your ending!

Re: poison. I thought that village doctor said the same thing about no antidote :(

Ahh, yeah, that's right. I'd forgotten about him. Ah well, I guess I'll stop grasping at straws :D
I like my straws, though :( 'Cause I really want them happy and whole and together!

I really need to watch VP2, it seems.

ES is one of the best heroines in recent dramas. Not surprising, seeing that the same writer gave us Sujini in Legend.

I am desperate for this to end well.

If this drama doesn't give me a happy ending, I'll kill something. It's scary, isn't it? Objectively, this whole drama is so simple. The politicking is kept to a minimum, the characters start out to be so one-dimensional, even the plot line seemed something we had all seen and heard about before and yet ... and yet this drama managed to hook almost anyone who bothered to watch its first ep within ten minutes of airing. And I don't mean the LMH saesangs ( ... )

I think that what hooked me is, as you pointed out, these people and relationships feel real. Not sure how much my 15-yr-old self would have appreciated it, but my 34-yr-old self does.

Here is how the order goes for me:

1. I wake up and watch the live stream Raw of the show. .
2. I read the live recap, and wait for Jooni's to be posted.
3. I keep reading through Soompi for the youtube link, and I watch it Raw again all while reading the recap to keep up w/ what they say.
4. Thank the lord for Vicki while I finally get to watch with full subs.

Rinse Repeat. This is almost as bad as CH (which I have been cherry picking my favorite scenes just to pass time lately).

OMG, I've been rewatching bits of CH too!

Crazy! I do some weird things, too. I also watch other things to take my mind off Faith and then end up checking any news about it.

LOL I am glad I am not the only one ;) I have been a lurker (semi) at soompi just to get any information I can. Are you little bit worried what will happen after this show goes off the air? I know I feel that way, but I felt this way when I lost CH so I just need to find something else even though that will be terribly hard ;). I got like one paragraph wrote from CY's perspective right now, but it don't mean shit since my inspiration bug left the building for this show.

This is what I got...sadly (I use CY and ES while writing just to make things quicker...find/replace = my friend and if you see a random c it means with. Medical terminology always ends up being my shorthand):

CY admired her ability to just let go, as terrified as she was, she was choosing to be happy in this life. She wanted him to go down that path with her willingly or not. He had many questions for her such as 'how does she suppose that holding her while she dies wouldn't gut him?' The plan to 'fight' to live all while he had to watch her die was almost comical ( ... )

He comes back and their reunion. He tries to stay away from her, because he's covered in blood and he remembers her aversion (and that is exascerbated by his own feelings). And, oh Eun Soo. Brilliant, dying, 21st-century, doctor Eun Soo - she heals him. No, not any wounds (he doesn't have any), nor his trembling hands - but she heals his heart. He tells her the blood is not his, probably expecting repulsion or at least discomfort, but she just gently says she knows. And as he self-loathingly says that he only killed normal soldiers, it was easy, she just steps up to him and pulls him into this hug. And you can see how startled he is and then it sinks in, that she is not repudiating him, that she is loving him the way he is and accepting everything of his and he just sinks into her arms and closes his eyes...oh, my darlings!I've never cried so much for a drama before. And this episode just kills me. I thought I will be okay re-watching it a second time, but wow, the tears are still there. I'd probably always be crying for this episode ( ... )

Her last speech broke my heart.

Both of them are so fearless with their hearts and so protective of the heart of their loved one. They kill me. They are everything to each other (in different ways, neither had a life before their meeting), and yet it seems to be yanked away.

Yes, our hearts are all breaking with hers.

Yes, they just found each other. The time they spent together so little... I don't care if they say that at least they got to love each other even for a short while; that it's enough. No. No. It will never be enough. Sigh. They need to be forever is what I'm saying. Because they just need to. They can't break them apart. :'(

Oh, and I don't know if it will play in your area but I found this MV that is so wonderfully done. It's to One Piece's "Because It's You". Love.

I'm trying to find time to finish a fic right now. I'm thinking I should finish it before the end of the drama, because it could have an ending that is so wonderfully done, there won't be any need for fanfic. But if the ending is going to break our hearts... Well, I'm just hoping for the wonderfully epic ending.
