You'd think down on their luck, HIV infected bohemians who indulge in alternative lifestyles would be something that teeny bopper writers would feel that they don't know much about and should stay away from. Apparently not.

*gags* This is why I never considered myself a teenybopper. Because I always found this kind of crap and the "liek omgzlolz" annoying beyond description.

This is so awful it actually makes my heart hurt. It's painful to read. The RENT fandom is one that does NOT need fanfic in any shape or form - the characters are established as they are, and are paired for a reason, don't mess with it. Of course, I don't think most fanfic is necessary (because the majority of it is horrendous), but this is worse than normal. *prepares the brandishing spork*

At least most of these summaries have decent spelling, which is more than you can say for a lot of HP stories...

Sad, but true. So perhaps the RENT stories are written by pathetic 20 year olds rather than pathetic 12 year olds? (*gasp* That was mean of me.)

At least you're right that in this fandom, Mark/Roger could at least happen. Though I don't see it. Roger's pretty straight to me.

Oh, I don't see it either, but it's not weird enough that I would put a badfic summary just because of it (the way I would if someone did Jar Jar/Palpatine).

We had believed we had nothing to worry about when it came down to sex. We were both HIV positive. What did we need a condom for? It's not like we could do anything that would end our lives any faster. The sheer thought of pregnancy never crossed my mind.

My mouth literally dropped open. A Mimi/Roger babyfic? Oh. My. God.

A new generation of NYC bohemians to carry on the tradition! I can picture it now... something like the Muppet Babies...

Yeah, except the author of this "heartwarming" story didn't realize that any kid of Roger and Mimi is going to be HIV+ himself, and die a speedy death.
