I got the impression that he was imagining the full audience and in reality Hyunju was the only one there, but who knows? He was so drugged out, I was surprised he wasn't seeing flying pink elephants (I got the impression that by the time he cleaned/sobered up, he'd tried everything with the possible exception of paint thinner).
I would kill (or at least maim :P) to have this be a 16-ep drama - there was certainly enough stuff there for 16 eps and I love dark, messed-up characters and stories, plus I dug the ship as if there was no tomorrow. But I don't think they could get away with the subject matter (drugs and loony bin and suicide attempts and all) outside of special drama format, unless it was on cable. I've never seen a mainstream kdrama be this (relatively) edgy. Remember how they blurred the hell out of Friend Our Legend in the beginning?

Sometimes I wished this drama was at least 16 episodes to at least expand the story of the couple.
