Watched everything but the last 15 minutes of ep 2 of Summer Desire (the last 15 mins are not yet subbed).

I am so addicted to this - it's basically as if Elinor Glyn was writing now instead of in the 1920s and was Taiwanese :P

I must confess that I am sort of shipping Xiamo with Ou Chen now. I still prefer her with Luo Xi but when she ends up ( Read more... )

Totally agree with your third paragraph. Before the drama aired, I was hearing that Ou Chen was an Edward-Cullen-ish clingy/controlling boyfriend, but even if he is, Xiamo is no Bella. She is FIERCE. And so nonchalant about it. It's kind of scary sometimes.

I think HXM and Peter do fence at some time in the series... at least according to the previews. Unless I was just imagining that...

He IS controlling but since she doesn't let him get away with anything she doesn't want to, it doesn't bug me. Their relationship is not my thing but she seemed genuinely to be happy with him and care for him and, more importantly for my purposes, she definitely had all the power in that relationship (though ironically if she were more demonstrative and loving, he may not have been so insecure and the whole chain of events of LX being sent away may not have happened).

Fencing. Yay!

Ou Chen didn't seem to be as bad to me from the very beginning - I am expecting to be all over this ship after the episode 2. I mean: "but asked her if she could stay by his side now and kissed her hand. AWWWWWWWWW. " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This counts for more that shooting at some annoying girlfrieds (who was a security person sent to spy on him anyways) . AWWWWWWW! Also : embroidering ribbons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still appalled at the arrow-shooting at that girlfriend. Nothing will make it OK. But if they do the drama well enough, maybe I'll be able to put it to the back of my mind. Or maybe I'll pretend he has a weird fetish :P (In ep 2 there is a flashback to little!Ou Chen and little!Xiamo and she won his admiration when she agreed to that weird apple thing - whoever gave him a book about William Tell should have his head examined).

Every time I think of him sitting there doing needlepoint, I lol and lol and lol. Ep is 100% subbed on viikii now btw and vid quality is awesome.

You see, I totally think she wasn't a real gf but was some kind of person to spy on him. And also , as you say, the apple scene. I noticed it in the episode 1.

Needlework: whatever he does badly later it will be hard for me to forget the goodness of the needlework. I knew he gave her the ribbon. But the fact that he made it: OPMH! I am so sold. :D

I will wait for subs, I only do viikii when I am too obsessed.

Oh, I am sure she wasn't his real gf but probably a hire arranged by the butler (side note: where are his parents????? We know LX and Xiamo are orphans but where are Ou Chen's still alive folks? We don't see them in little kids flashback, we don't see them in highschool/college flashback, we don't see them when their only child has amnesia. Have they been kidnapped by pirates?) Still, even if he has a subconscious suspicion (which he does), not a way to treat someone. Ehhh, if that is the only horrid thing he does, I can live with it ( ... )

I stalked viikii last night but eventually had to give and go to bed.

Okay, read it. Hmm. . I still think Lou Xi is hot and that their kiss in the road was sizzle, sizzle, sizzle but I'm fickle enough; feelings change. Must watch to form own opinion but again how much do I love Xiao Mo? Rivers deep and mountains high. Just the kind of heroine, I always end up rooting for.

Oh, I agree, I still prefer LX. But at least I am glad to note OC doesn't bug me anymore. It would be hard to watch a love triangle drama where you wanted to strangle one of the parties.

Yes, I vote for Ou Chen..why, coz the novel becomes interesting because of him.
Ou Chen & Xia Mo love is so strong that the series does not even need them to kiss lips to lips, hold hand romantically nor hug, but people who are watching can sense the love which gives them goosebumps..well it gave me goosebumps :D
Ou Chen seems to be a person of few words but more on actions..well as they say..'Action speaks louder than words'
Xia Mo seems to be very keen on other peoples attitude, maybe that's why he loves & understand Ou Chen, she know that behind those obsessive personality, she knows that he loves her so much and she's the boss :D

I've never read the novel before and now I'm inclined to even though my proficiency in Chinese isn't good enough for me to flip through a novel compared to a manga. Anyway it's only been 2 episodes and I have hooked! I have to watch it almost everyday despite exams coming up next week ( ... )
