Hmmm. . .I haven't watched Take Care Of The Lady but the way you're describing YEH character sounds like LSG from Brilliant Legacy. Are they at all alike? I mean Hwan was HORRIBLE the first few episodes.
OOOH, BSB is playing the lead in Angel's Temptation? YES. My request for a BSB lead drama came true. DEFINITELY WATCHING.
They are somewhat similar but the Universe of TCotL is a lot more mangaish than that of BL so she is both more and less awful - her actions are often more over the top (she rams the hero's car, gets him arrested for kidnapping, almost has his house bulldozed) but it feels a lot less real than Hwan's much more realistic actions ( dragging HHJ around, humiliating her in a club, being a jerk to his Grandmother, refusing to work).
She is, however, a much better family member - she seems to get along well with her grandfather (but otoh he is not pushing her into anything). Hwan was a bastard ten times over, compared to her.
I think it all feels more cushioned because that world is much less real.
I sometimes love the "poor little rich girl" type (Cordelia Chase, Anna, Audrey Thorne, Freyja Bedwyn) though I can't think of any "poor little rich boys" I find more than tolerable, unless the leads of Spring Waltz and My Girl count as the type (even Logan and later Domyoji, I'm more entertained by them and enjoy their interactions with the female lead than i actually "like" like) but I mostly, uhm, don't care as much for stories about how it's sad and stressful to be a modern rich person.
This drama, though, is something I'm curious about because it strikes me as having a high level of entertainment value for me.
I've had Angel's Temptation on my list since reading about it on dramabeans. I love that kind of ridiculousness, it reminds me of primetime western soapishness, who am I kidding it's very daytime soapy too.
I did not expect to enjoy BL at all and checked it out because of sheer boredom. Then I think I watched 17 eps in 3 days :P
The leading guy is not good-looking, I won't kid you. He is however quite charismatic and his character undergoes such a convincing slow transformation from someone I wanted to murder to someone I'd want my daughter to date, that I fell in love with Hwan the character and LSG the actor who played him.
Plus, Han Hyo Joo is gorgeous and it features one of the most beautiful first kisses ever.
The two main male characters really are the reason that I watch Take Care of The Young Lady. I really hadn't considered how selfish she is even though she is in "pain" over her lost love. Your completely right!
Jun Se oppa! It sounds like a drama that could be really good! Thanks for mentioning it.
Re: Lady. I am watching it for the two spectacular (and awesome) male leads and Yoon Eun Hye's legs :P lol Yoon Eun Hye does show off her legs a lot in this show! Her character's style is kind of out there sometime like YEH's is.
I like fairy-tale elements to my dramas, someone comes along and you're world magically becomes a better place. I'm such a cynic in real life it's nice to pretend for a while but Lady does nothing for me.
I've really liked YEH in the past but the whole set-up is so repetitive of other dramas and right now I have no interest in an spoiled angsting for no real reason princess getting a great guy and living happily ever after.
Why oh why didn't that faux gay roommate drama ever come to light.

Argh. Don't remind me! It never would have happened though because of the whole JJH thing *tears out hair*
I am not big on fairy-tale lightness in dramas (or most anywhere) - I sort of check out. I like angsty epicy things instead, even if they are just as unrealistic. If a drama has mobsters, angsty swordfighters, slaves, revolutionaries, or maybe someone setting out for revenge and falling for a relative of the target instead, I am all sold. Spoiled rich people don't really figure in my list of 'automatically adored tropes.'

Plus, he's older (i.e. not 22). It's a plus!
On a scale of 1-10, just how enjoyable was brilliant legacy? I've been uninterested because of the lead male.
