I remember reading about this a long time ago and feeling so wonderful that people like this were out in the world (it's an article about a wealthy couple who, in addition to their own biolgical children, adopted over a dozen kids, many of them with developmental disabilities or who have been abused

The kids may not end up in care. They should have decent enough inheritances that they'll be cared for outside the system and they are part of a family that should pull together now.

Their situation is different this time around. Small comfort considering the loss of their parents, but something to hold on to.
