Good news: you are rich and have a devoted butler. Bad news: ... ... ???

I feel like watching a cracky jdrama as everything I am watching is more on the serious side, from tough angsty cops, assassins and mobsters of Taiwan's Black and White to the war-scarred protagonists of Korea's Fashion 70s, so I think I will check out Mei-chan No Shitsuji, that cracktastic one about a girl who discovers she is newly rich and ( Read more... )

I actually got rather bored of Mei-chan No Shitsuji, although that was because of the rather bizarre side story with the protagonist. I don't know whether it got any better, but I'm afraid my attention span couldn't handle the entire drama!

For me, it's probably slightly less better than HanaKimi 'cos HanaKimi had Toma and any Toma is good. XD Also, i wasn't the biggest fan of Nana's character. But the one thing i did love was Mukai Osamu's Shinobu (aka the albino butler) - he was ACE and i wish we'd had more of him/Rihito (Hiro's character) than Mei/Rihito (boring!).

I am *gasp* someone who actively dislikes Toma so lack of Toma=good to me :)

There is an albino butler? LOL

I just finished Mei-chan and it was exactly what I expected: sweet, quirky, kind of silly, but still lovely. It was certainly a great drama to relax to and enjoy without much thinking :)

(I do love Hiro a great deal - despite the fact that for some reason hairdressers of the world seem to have a vendetta against him - which also helped here, I guess)

Yeah - his hair looks fried on his head. If he doesn't watch it, he'll go bald at 30.
