so i didn't get into anything goes. oh well, i kinda wasn't expecting to anyway since it's a massive tap show and i don't know how to tap dance. only a few sophomores actually got cast in it. i kinda fumbled through the dance audition but i NAILED the singing audition, the director told me himself afterwards. what's funny is that when the cast list

well i was going for the approach that opera singers need to go through specific training to sing without a mic over an orchestra. and when i said that i was assuming that said musical theater singers did not have that training. of course people can sing both if they train for both. and i would sing musical theater if i didn't have a mic lol it just would be interesting to find out how the sound would work, assuming that the performance space wasn't specifically designed to have the acoustics for an unmicced vocal performance. my point is, the people i'm talking about haven't had ACTUAL opera training.
