I'm not one of those people who says, "get this baby out of me!" but it would be really nice to know exactly when the baby is going to arrive. The reason why is because edsnug bought her a Halloween costume--the costume I wanted to buy but didn't because I wasn't sure if she would be born in time to wear it--the chili pepper! Plus, it would be nice if ( Read more... )

October 18th is my due date and I'll miss it. You can have it!

I went to the doc today and barely anything is happening. no contractions, no lightening, no dilation to speak of, barely any thinning going on.

I am expecting either the 20th or 23rd.

I'm with you sista! Get this out. I'm tired of my MIL calling every day, "how are you feeling". OMG! Even my parents aren't THAT concerned. I just want to be able to feel my fingers, which have been tingling more and more. I dropped something I grabbed today. Thank DOG it wasn't breakable.

Maybe we'll have our babies on the same day--wouldn't that be interesting?

I just found a website with a bunch of natural induction stuff on it: http://www.maternitycorner.com/mcmag/articles/preg0007.html

The thing about acupressure on there is what I've heard about, so I did more research on that: http://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/acupressure/gb-21.aspx

Anyways, however it happens, I hope it is a joyful experience for the three of you!

Well... who knows. First babies are often a bit late... our first was nearly a month past due, and was finally induced.

no doctor in the hospital I'm in will allow the baby later than a week and a half past due. Anything later can become more difficult to deliver.

(nods) it was 1990, practices may be different now. Back then, they did weekly nonstress tests for the first 2 weeks past the due date, then stress tests every few days after that until there was either an off-nominal result or else labor commenced on its own.

Ha! I'm dressing Pascale as an aubergine for Halloween. Food babies!

Good luck and try not to think about it. She'll come when she's ready.

I had a good friend whose daughter was due Dec 2 and I secretly hoped she came a day early so we could have the same bday. She came late. :-P
