Hey Kim!

I defienlty agree with you a 100% on your entry. The chapter does make you made becasue he says that every war story is false. I enjoy hearing war stories and I don't believe what he says is true. I think it's somewhat rude of him to say that. I mean yea some parts of a war story may be exaggerated, but most of the whole story if not all is ture. I agree with you so much when you said that. As for him saying war stories are evil I think thats bologna (if thats how you spell it). There are hardly any evil sotries as far as my opinions go on the book. Good prompt Kim.

In response to the genius who spelled "cuatro" wrong!!!!!! supergirlsam03 December 17 2004, 20:38:27 UTC
Hey Kim way to use that spanish!!!!!!! you one-in-a-million!!! You and your "loozer" book!!!! But since this book isn't a true story anyways, he explains to all his readers every reason why they shouldn't believe that his story is real. I agree with this statement, that all through this chapter he explains what makes a good story and his story doesn't have any of it. But at the same time he doesn't just come out and say,"This story isn't true." So you also have to think about it. That's all for now........Later Days!!!!

P.S. What are you getting in spanish?!?! :-)

I don't really know. I agree with you in a way, but not fully. I don't think the war stories are all lies. He didn't necessarily mean that. He meant that you cant beleive all of them. Some of the war stories are stretched and changed. Some maybe just imply something. But thay are all true in a way. For example- The story about the man saving his freind from the airplane. Maybe it wasn't neceasarilly true, but it did make soldiers think about what they should do, and how to be a good soldier. Maybe that wasn't a good example. But do you get what I am saying?
