I just started Magic City and ugh. Jeffery Dean Morgan in white tuxedos, mobsters, and a cast of characters who are mostly Jewish. You often hear people of color and the LGBTQ community talk about not seeing themselves on TV and I feel that way about a lack of Jewish characters on my screen but not with Magic City. Yes it's a premium channel show

Yeah, that's something I noticed with Magic City as well. The perception is that there are a lot of Jewish characters on TV - or at least in Hollywood - and I don't exactly dispute that, but they're usually Jewish in name only. Even Willow had like two scenes where she did something that resonated as genuinely Jewish. Was called Jewish - plenty. Dealt with actual Jewish concerns, even if in a very dismissive manner, yeah, maybe two.

So it was nice to see at least a few times :)
