I just started Magic City and ugh. Jeffery Dean Morgan in white tuxedos, mobsters, and a cast of characters who are mostly Jewish. You often hear people of color and the LGBTQ community talk about not seeing themselves on TV and I feel that way about a lack of Jewish characters on my screen but not with Magic City. HAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanukah you guys. It's Hannukah. I freaking love this holiday. It's not my favorite (see Passover '09) but its definitely up there. I spent the first day of Hannukah after class with my little sister Hillary. She made me a mug with my name on it!

I celebrated the first night of Hannukah by having WAY too much fried food. The diner doesnt have latkes but it does have french fries. That's oil and it counts. *sigh* Oh culture, how I love you but straight to my hips.

Anywho today is the last day of non-finals class! YAY!

So, I spoke to my boss and my teachers. I'm going to Atlanta tomorrow. I'm staying for about a week because hey, I just realized that Rosh Hashana is a week from today.
