A very happy birthday to sdwolfpup, one of the first people I met on LJ, and one of my favorite. Shine on, you crazy diamond.*

And belated happy birthday wishes to sweet_ali and pukajen.

In no particular order:

* I'm leaving for Dragon*Con, and then a visit with my parents, tomorrow. I have to get up at 4:30am tomorrow to make my plane flight. D. is the bestest ( Read more... )

Yeah, I burned that last thing, as it deserved. This is a new thing. *sigh*

And I'm planning to finish reviewing your new chapters on the plane, but am a little uncertain when I'll have a net connection to actually send them back to you. Hopefully the hotel has wireless, or I might go into withdrawal and have a seizure.

My back-up person decided to leave today and not check in with me before she left. So I had to e-mail her notes, instructions, etc. The good news is New Boss, not yet familiar with the process, was paniced by the thought of my absence and asked who would be issuing checks. I explained how S is my back up and what she should be doing tomorrow. If she doesn't, she's going to be answering some questions she's not expecting. ;-)

the inexplicable moment where you go from "Objectively, this show isn't actually very good" to "MY TEAM!" without quite knowing what happened. Or maybe that was just me.

I don't think I'm there. I'm at the 'Well, it isn't as bad as I expected' stage.

Clothes are packed, various stuff is in piles waiting to go into bags, cosmetics, etc must wait till tomorrow. I'm going to feel like a fool taking my suitcase on the plane and checking a small bag filled with liquidy items, but I'm still paranoid about being without clothes.

I'm not changing planes, so I'm going to go ahead and take my chances with checked luggage. ::crosses fingers::
