Last night's Leverage was absurd and had plot holes you could drive a semi carrying a two story house through (If their client worked at the school, why did we never see her there? No one Googled the new headmaster? What happens when the FBI mentions their backup in their report?), but I also found it to be highly entertaining and we got some Sophie character building so it gets a big thumbs up.

Plus, Christian Kane arms! :)

I enjoyed last night's Leverage in a way I hadn't the first two of the season, so I remain optimistic. I will forgive enormous plot holes if I'm having fun.

It is still a joy to read your B5 recaps. One thing: the S4 finale that you just watched is not the finale they filmed at the end of S4. They filmed the true finale to the series, and when they got renewed that got pushed to the end of S5.

4.22 was probably filmed at the start of shooting for S5.

I knew part of that--4.22 was filmed after they'd all gone out of contract, and Claudia Christian was out, and they were trying to tie up the stories. I'm hoping for more conflict with telepaths in Season 5, since that was one of the subplots that seems like it could continue.

Last week's Leverage (which we just watched last night) was totally worth it for me just for the Sophie development. She's always been such a non-entity to me in the past, to it was AWESOME to be able to connect to her. Plus, as always, the Parker/Hardison/Eliot shenanigans fill me with glee. Good times!

Last season, most of her "character development" was having a thing for Nate, which is not so much a defining characteristic as a giant, honking cliche. I like this Sophie much better--she's in charge.

BTW, did you know Gina Bellman is pregnant? I'm realizing now that it might not be her haircut making her look so different; her face is fuller.

Plus, as always, the Parker/Hardison/Eliot shenanigans fill me with glee.

So much glee!

Up next: Tracy Scoggins! Who, it turns out, is not at all the worst actor in Season 5. Dude who plays Byron, I'm looking at you!

LOL.

I will admit that Dante's Cove was my first exposure to Scoggins, and it left a very specific impression. But everything is relative.

She was at Dragon*Con this September, along with Boxleitner, Jurasik, and Claudia Christian, and I must say that both she and Boxleitner impressed me with their thoughtfulness. I didn't see any of their panels live, but I saw a broadcast of one on the con channel; unfortunately, there was some kind of problem with Peter Jurasik's microphone and I couldn't hear anything he said, which I suspect was a huge loss.
