UGH, that sucks. I just canceled Pushing Daisies season 2 and sent them my own Strongly Worded Email saying that until they reversed this decision, I wouldn't be buying anything from them. Which sucks for me, because they're usually the cheapest, and it's not that easy for me to find stuff over here as it is, but dammit, I'm so sick of crap like this. Bigots won't be getting any of my money, even if that means I'll be spending more of it.

They're the best, and often the only, resource for a lot of things for a lot of people. I think that's partly why this move is so disturbing, though; they have power, and they are Using It for Evil.

I'm hoping the gigantic shitstorm that is getting rolling right now will cause them to rethink this policy, but yeah, until/unless they do, I can't support them.

I'll link to the original posts and send an email later. It surprises me they are making this asshat move now and not two or three years ago.

It does seem rather strangely timed. I just checked the post I linked for updates, and all I can imagine is that they're hitting everything with an even remotely LGBT-related tag, including pregnancy and parenting resources for lesbian couples, some of Jessica Valenti's books about feminism, and--this one really chaps my hide--suicide prevention materials for gay teenagers. UGH.

Yeah, this is incredibly disappointing behavior, and as a consumer, I'm voting with my wallet.
