Here we go again!!

Well it is pretty much official -> We are going to be welcoming a new addition to our family in April of 2009.

You all know that we started trying this month and a gut reaction made me test at home on Friday.  Of course I used both of the tests that I had on hand and they were both positive.  I was excited and nervous all in the same hand

CONGRATS!!!! I was hoping there'd be news from you soon!
I'm due April 4 so we're pretty close in due dates!

The blood test they gave you was checking the measure of hcg in your blood (a beta test). Once that number is over 1,000 they can do a pelvic ultrasound to check for the yoke sack. After 6 weeks they should be able to see, but not hear, the heartbeat!

Thanks - I was sort of shocked as I didn't expect it to happen so soon!! With my estimate we are only a couple days apart. It will be cool to have someone I already know so close to follow along with.

I wish I would have asked about the number, but I never thought much about it. I never got the number with Mackenzie and I was sort of just caught of guard when I called yesterday. I guess when I go in next Monday for another test I will ask a few more questions.
