Angel's Rest.

I know this will make me sound like a candy ass because it has such heavy traffic, but Angel's Rest is a tough hike! I had Monday off so I decided to try a hike I normally wouldn't because it's crowded on the weekends.

Angel's Rest
Difficulty: Moderate
Length: 4.4 miles, there-and-back
Elevation gain: 1,500 feet
Directions from PDX: East on

I love Angel's Rest. Good job going on an off-day. I always try to go during the week, too.

It was nice having the trail to myself on the way up. No one to see me gasping for breath. :)

I reached the trail head a little after 9am and didn't see anyone else until I started back down.

It was definitely worth it! I also noticed it's directly opposite the Cape Horn trail. I could pick out most of the path we were on.
