here.]Even though the hallway seemed especially quiet tonight, Zack wasn't bothered. He was used to moving around in quiet areas on his own, from caverns to wide open fields to shorelines. He didn't get spooked very easily, and if anything, he felt like he was in his element. He had a weapon in hand was was moving at his own pace, not

It didn't take too long to get out to the hallway outside the patients' block. It also looked quiet enough, but after last night's encounter with...whatever that was, he wasn't going to assume so quickly that it really was that peaceful. The hallway had looked just as empty, and yet, that thing had seemed to come out of nowhere.
McCoy sped up, just a little.

Still quiet. Not a bad sign, considering out early he'd made it out the door, but still Kirk moved warily through the hallways, the beam of his flashlight darting around the dark corners as he strode ahead to the next patient block. He wondered idly if the rest of the crew was making good time too, and whether or not he might meet them on the way, but for the most part, managed to keep his worrying to a minimum. They all had their orders. If one of them turned out to be missing, they knew where the others were, but somehow Kirk doubted that any of them would've been snatched out now.
After all, Landel would want an audience for his big surprise. Bring it on, Kirk thought as he lit up one of the updated intercom speakers on the wall. Was the new system related to tonight's planned horror? Either way... I'm ready for you. We're ready for you.

Aside from a few quick glances to make sure he wasn't passing up anyone from his world he needed to check up with, Sai dashed headlong down the hall. As far as he knew, Naruto wasn't in either of these blocks to begin with. He couldn't even recall if he'd gotten his friend's room number. If he had, he certainly didn't remember it now.

Well, this was the meeting point. A quick glance up and down with the flashlight made it obvious that Richter hadn't shown up yet, so Indy adjusted his fedora and settled against the wall to wait. He wasn't sure what Richter's direction to keep light away from his eyes had been about, but he was prepared to play along; he kept his flashlight beam aimed low to the ground.
The biggest obstacle between him and the mines now was whatever might be lying in wait out on the rec field. Indy glanced down the corridor to the exterior door, but he couldn't see anything, naturally. Idly, he wondered how fast Richter could run.

Recluse decided he'd display the courtesy to allow his footsteps to be loud enough to be heard, his now glowing eyes narrowed at the glare of the flashlight he could see ahead, striding briskly up to his partner for the night, glad that the warning about his eyes had been remembered. He carried no light himself, as it would have been entirely counterproductive.
"Apologies for the wait. My weapons needed some tending to." The sword and knife he'd taken for the night had needed some sharpening, and he'd given the pistol a clean before setting out. That, and he refused to leave the room without changing into the Arachnos uniform. It was certainly not his own, but it was comforting in some small sense to slide the well-fitting leather gloves onto his hands, and openly wear the Arachnos symbol. "Are we still waiting for another, or will they not be joining us?"

When Jones had mentioned that someone else would be coming along, Harvey had figured that it would be another stranger. To see none other than Recluse (and he couldn't take that name seriously, he just couldn't) standing there in an outfit of his own with his eyes glowing like he was some sort of genetic mutation caused Harvey to hold back for a moment.
He didn't exactly get along with Recluse, but they both had a distinct lack of morals which made him easier to be around than some of the other patients who believed in the purity of life and other such things. Things that were myths, really. But that wasn't the point right now.
It looked like Recluse had a few weapons to spare, which was good. Even though a sword seemed a little outdated, it wasn't like everyone could be lucky enough to find a gun -- and honestly, it was better than a dog leash. Jones had a machete now, at least, (which reminded Harvey of the axe he had, but that thing was so damn unwieldy), but the point still stood. It terms of someone to take ( ... )

The hall was relatively empty, with only one patient besides the two of them occupying it. Guy knew that this wasn't the most popular of meeting spots, but it definitely served their purposes for tonight. He glanced down the hall toward the other block for a moment, but didn't see any redheads approaching just yet.
"Luke's one block down, so he might be a few minutes," he informed Claude as he leaned himself up against the wall, prepared to wait. His friend also wasn't the most punctual of people, though Claude might have gotten to know Luke well enough (through his various times spent here) to realize that for himself.
Now would have been the perfect time to ask Claude about what had happened earlier, in the library, and yet Guy restrained. That was for Claude to speak about when he felt like it, right? For now, he'd keep things simple. They did have a job to do, after all.

Claude hadn't expected any questions about the wall, of all things, and he blinked in surprise before glancing over at the door that led out into the recreational field. Was that where they were going? If he'd realized that, he might have grabbed the hard hat he'd picked up from the hardware store the night of the zombie attack. That was what he got for not asking for more clarification over the board, he guessed. Ah, well. No use in crying over spilled milk. They'd probably manage just fine with what they had, anyway ( ... )
