Another bare hallway, Asuka observed once she poked her head out of the F-A block and shined her light back and forth. Even when she left her room rather promptly, there was almost always a handful of patients coming or going. Maybe she had just been way too uptight tonight for this mission. But was that such a terrible thing? This

It looked like Rita was ahead of the other patients, if the empty hall was any indication. It meant she was less likely to be delayed by some idiot's interference... but it also meant she was more likely to be targeted by a monster. That was a risk worth taking, however, if it meant moving at a pace that would allow her to actually accomplish something tonight.
Rita continued, shining her flashlight around the hall as she walked, not allowing a single shadow to escape her sight.

"Anyway. I'm glad you're okay, and after tonight, hopefully Edward will be, too." Hopefully. She needed this to work, and she wasn't going to stop praying until she saw the burns on Edward's pale skin heal away into nothing. She needed it more than he did, probably. Her jaw set in a rather telling way and she just tried to focus on the beam of her flashlight instead of her uncertainty, with marginal success.
It was hard to be optimistic in a place like this, when she'd seen just two nights ago how slow her healing really could be. Unwittingly, she looked down at her hands, completely healed now, but she could still imagine the deep gashes that the mirror shard had put into them. Still feel the pressure that failed to alert her to the fact that she was getting hurt, that it would be slow to heal.
Hopefully, it wouldn't become too much of a problem.

Bella stopped walking after a few moments, turning to look at Claire. "Edward's room is that way," she told the blonde, pointing towards the left. "Do you know where your Uncle's room is? Since I know there are more boy rooms than there are girl rooms."
How strange, that there were so much fewer female patients than there were male.

"We have to go this way, I think. His room's M24. That's in the block beside ours, right?" And the block didn't connect directly to their hallway. Talk about overly complicated. She brushed her uncertainty off and just started off in that direction decisively, giving a chuckle.
"I'm glad you have all that faith in me, though. It's nice to know someone does." Especially when she had Elle around to call her screwed up because she was healing slower than normal and Peter around to act like she needed to be treated like some porcelain vase. It was good to know Bella could appreciate her for how capable she actually was.

At Claire's response to her praise, Bella smiled. "How could I not? I mean, I know ... or rather, I've been told that this place takes away people's ... talents," she said simply, not wanting to say powers for the sake of sounding too corny. "So it's not like it's your fault that you can't heal as quickly as you could back at home, right? It's just bad luck, that's all."
Bad luck especially for Edward. Back home he couldn't be injured, but now ...
At least he seemed to heal slightly faster than she could. She supposed he still did retain some of his normal vampire powers, like his telepathy.

The sight of an empty hallway was nothing worth taking note of any more aside from the fact that Sync could either have been really early or really late. Figuring that it didn't matter either way, he continued on without paying much mind to anything else. As soon as he left the patient blocks he'd planned to climb up the stairs to the second floor, and with that he'd improvise what'd he'd explore.

The next hallway proved to be fruitful, yielding Erika a bored looking young man who looked like he had plenty of time to kill. That was why she wasted no time in approaching him, shining her flashlight on his body to signal that she wanted to speak with him long before she actually approached him.
"Hello there," She greeted him, not even pausing before moving on. "Would you happen to be looking for something to do?" The possibility that he could have been waiting for someone was there, but he certainly didn't look like the kind that would be. There was something about the way he walked around aimlessly that tipped Erika off about his complete lack of useful things to do.
In any case, Erika hoped he would join her, because she would hate to waste time trying to find monster bait.

Upon first glance the girl sounded confident, almost full of herself, with the way she approached and 'greeted him'. Sync refrained from groaning, instead playing the proper role and offering a somewhat surprised look at the newcomer's question.
"Is it that obvious?" He began, stopping in his tracks and turning to face the other patient fully. "I'm guessing you have something in mind?"

"I'm on my way to the second floor. Naturally, there will be monsters, so I don't want to go alone. I have an area in particular that I'd like to investigate tonight, so once I'm done, we're free to go wherever you wish. Is that acceptable?"
It might have seemed odd that Erika was acting like the boy already agreed to go with her, but it might have just been the detective's natural forceful tendencies taking over. After the little mishap with last night's adventure, Erika was itching to get something done. Either way, his answer wouldn't have mattered: either he would, or he wouldn't.
Erika considered the possibility that it was just her... But she had quite the strong feeling that he would. Anyone who wanted something fun to do would know better than to refuse to go with the detective.

Actually, it wasn't so bad getting around without a flashlight. She could handle it. It did make it a little harder to see what was going on around her, but Morgan could still tell that there were only a few people around. None of them seemed threatening, so she ignored them and kept going forward. She wasn't positive she was heading in the right direction, but she'd heard enough about the way the cell blocks were laid out to be pretty confident.

Okay, it was probably best to start with the areas she'd already visited. That meant she could head toward the field, but after considering that end of the hall for a minute Minako decided to start with indoors for the moment. It had been kinda cold outside lately, and she hadn't thought to bring her coat along when she left the room for the night. Maybe toward the central hall, then, where she'd met that really tall guy the night before and never gone anywhere from that. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan.
