He hadn't expected to see a note to him from anyone other than his commanding officers. He'd caught the bulletin (from Dean, wasn't it?) addressed to him before the dinner shift. McCoy remembered him well enough. Rough looking kid, thought he could practice some medicine with nothing but a belt and dirty jacket, but generally had his heart in the

Hearing the Head Doctor go on about sleep studies made Claude tense up, and he was half-waiting to hear the door open up again so some orderlies to drag one of them away. He hated that feeling of helplessness, that all he could do was sit there and wonder if their room would become so unlucky again. But then he heard the faint click of the locks sliding back out of place, and Claude couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Thank goodness... He wasn't sure what he'd do if he or his roommate got targeted, but thankfully he didn't have to worry about that for tonight ( ... )

Tifa at least knew where to meet him, but how long would she stick around? He hadn't told her that he was going to get Kurt first - but if he didn't get Kurt first, Kurt might come looking for him, and then who the hell knew; everybody would be all over the place. He couldn't afford to waste tonight fucking around.

The Scarecrow moved quickly after the nightly announcement ended, collecting his flashlight from his drawer and heading for the door. He had his mind set now- with any luck, he was going to get some brains he could use.
He stopped at the door, turning to give Depth Charge an optimistic smile. "I'm off to find some brains- I'll be twice the thinker I am now when I have them, you'll see!"
And with that, he was off.

If they were going to continue to try this night after night, then it was at least a good thing that Artemis's room wasn't too far from his own. The hallways weren't all that crowded yet, as not many patients had made the trip out of their rooms, and it looked like he was the first to arrive. He'd like to think that if they got an early enough start they might actually accomplish what they'd meant to the past few nights, but one never could tell in this place. They could move as fast as humanly possible and still wake up before walking out the door.
Sai knocked on said door now, waiting patiently for Artemis or his mist-nin roommate to respond.

His inspection of the room didn't yield anything different than the night before had. In the end, all he added to the flashlight was a hand-held radio and an empty keyring that might, might lend itself to use as a cheap lockpick if twisted the right way ( ... )
