The typical need to slip through the halls automatically left him, and was replaced by his eyes open and body ready to approach anyone he saw before him. As Sora continued on his way out of the block of rooms, it occurred to him that if he had this ring, that meant that Neku hadn't gotten one. That did make him feel kind of bad, and he wished he could find the boy and drag him along for the night (he already knew Kairi, and he might as well meet Riku!), but there was no easy way of doing that.
He would just have to tell the boy about it at some point, and hope that that was good enough. If Mr. Landel wasn't lying and the rings could be reused, then Sora intended to share his ring with Neku and his friends as much as he could. It seemed like it could be a lot of help, if they could figure out what made it work.
Grinning down at the silver and red that shone on his hand if he pointed his flashlight at it, Sora stepped out of the door, intent on finding his friends.

Guybrush skidded into the next hall, only one away from Javert's door. Drop off the sword, and then it was back to the ladies' halls to find Elaine! He dodged sideways around a couple of people, blurting out a belated warning as he rounded the corner to the home stretch.

Peter just hoped that he didn't freak Hanatarou out by having a gun on him. There was a good chance that the kid had never seen one with his own eyes, but in the end it would be useful if things got hairy. Running up to the pharmacy wouldn't be all that dangerous, but if they decided to try and see what the ring did, then things could get a lot worse.
He wasn't going to force that onto Hanatarou unless he wanted to do it, though. There would always be other opportunities to try, so he wasn't going to push it if they ended up too busy.
Seeing how he only had to move down two hallways, Peter was soon heading down the one that housed Hanatarou's room without a hitch.

Gant closed the door to his room as quietly as he could, trying to keep from drawing attention to himself. The close quarters of the block hallway put him ill at ease. He was too much of a bulky target here. Quickly, he made for the next hallway.
