"It wouldn't be much of a music room if they didn't," he agreed. Interesting to know that Edgar at least had those where he came from. A part of him was sure it would be interesting to sit down and compare what was similar and what was different between all the different places the people he'd talked to so far claimed to come from.

"I suppose my sense of direction isn't as keen as I'd thought," he said with a light smile. "I know the door at the end of the hallway that's on the side with our room leads to the outside, and I could have sworn there were two doors to the field."
He crossed the room, his eyes catching on some tools on the wall. They looked to be medical instruments of some sort. He had to clasp his hands behind him to prevent himself from fiddling with the pressure gauge on one of them. "Oh well. We can always turn and go back the way we came. The halls are deceivingly disorienting."

"The halls are pretty nondescript, I can see how someone could lose their way pretty easily." Not as bad as Titan, certainly, but few places were. At least here you could breathe properly. "It's probably nearby, anyway." At least the dizziness hadn't lasted more than a second. He didn't want to start slowing Edgar down this early in the evening.

He crossed the room again, heading for the door. "No matter. It's good to know this room is here, even if it does seem a little misplaced."

Hopefully, nothing would interrupt them while they took ten minutes out to warm up. If nothing else, the institute was decently heated ( ... )

Okay, he told himself as he took a moment to lean against the door frame again to regain his breath, I just need to find the operating table and use that as my point of reference again. Barring that, he could try to wait for his vision to clear up, but...was it just him, or was it getting harder to see? Frowning, Claude reached up with his uninjured hand and furiously rubbed at his eyes. There was the nagging memory lingering in the back of his head, of the doctor telling him his vision was damaged. Was it supposed to be severe? Or permanent, for that matter ( ... )

Upon stepping into the next room, he listened closely, hoping to catch some sort of sign of other patients nearby. Unfortunately, he didn't hear much of anything, except for maybe faint sounds of the storm raging outside. Because of his poor vision, he didn't immediately realize that he'd been in here just a few moments ago. The texture of the floor might have felt the same, but that didn't necessarily mean anything in as large of a building as Landel's.
It wasn't until he bumped into the desk with the same bruised hip as before that he got a strong sense of déjà vu.
Claude paused, his uninjured hand gripping onto the desk's top to keep him steady. So not only had he wasted a bunch of energy getting somewhere that was useless, but he was basically going in circles now. Great. It was hard not to get discouraged, though at this point he was too exhausted to harbor the same kind of simmering frustration as before. Instead, his body just sagged with weariness ( ... )

The Replica strolled through the door and braced himself for whatever place tonight's glitch may take him. Sechs could just see it now. He and Forte stepping foot into that bastard doctor's midst! Unprotected and with no chairs or needles to defend himself! Ah! Sechs couldn't help but grin at the image of him tearing down the shadowy doctor and giving him a taste of his own medicine -- by repeatedly cracking his spine into countless pieces with his axe!
But that happy little daydream was burst like a bubble once Sechs found himself in--
"Another fucking office?!" he growled, "Crap!!"
Growing increasingly frustrated, Sechs prowled around the desk with his eyes searching for anything useful while his brain continued clanking away at the puzzle.
"Let's see here..." he brooded to himself, "First it was that small room with the couches... Then the Tasty Burger... After that was the damn fridge, followed by the first room we ended up before again. Next was that big meeting room and the hardware store afterward. Now we're ( ... )

He grumbled along with Sechs, but didn't have the same thirst for wanton destruction he did at the Tasty Burger. Instead, he turned around as he heard the door swing shut behind him.
"Hey, I've got an idea..."
Turning off and pocketing his light, he grasped his hammer with both hands. After an awkward moment shifting them both to find where he had the best grip, he lifted it behind him and smashed it into the wall.
There was an impressive thud, but the door remained undamaged, besides vibrating slightly in place. "Dammit!" He tried again, and once more his sledge bounced off.
Now equally frustrated that his new toy couldn't even knock out a wooden door, he just opened it and stepped through.
